Terms of Service

Agreement

By using https://longislandmoldco.com or engaging Long Island Mold Co., LLC for services, you agree to these terms. We may update them; continued use constitutes acceptance.

Estimates and quotes

Written estimates are valid for 30 days from issue date. Estimates are based on the scope visible at the time of inspection; discovery of hidden conditions (concealed mold, additional moisture sources) may require a written change order signed by both parties before work proceeds.

Scope limitations

We do not perform structural repair, roofing, HVAC work, asbestos abatement, lead abatement, or plumbing outside of what is required to remove affected materials during mold remediation. We refer out to licensed trades where needed.

NY Article 32 compliance

Under NY Labor Law Article 32, the same licensee cannot perform both the mold assessment and the mold remediation on the same property. We operate separate licensed arms but will never provide both services on the same job at the same address.

Warranty

We warrant our remediation work for 12 months from completion, provided the documented moisture source has been corrected. Warranty does not cover new mold growth caused by new water events, ventilation changes, or maintenance issues after the job closes.

Payment

Deposits are typically 30% at job start, with balance due at substantial completion. We accept cash, check, ACH, major credit cards, and financing through our partner lender. Past-due balances accrue 1.5% monthly interest.

Limitation of liability

Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for that specific job. We carry $2M general liability + pollution rider insurance; additional coverage available on request for commercial jobs.

Disputes

Disputes will be resolved first by good-faith negotiation, then by mediation in Nassau County, NY. These terms are governed by New York state law.
